01

What hazecam does

hazecam is a film camera for the iPhone. You pick one of the vintage cameras, point it and record: the chemistry is developed live, inside the camera, and the video comes out exactly as you saw it in the viewfinder. The grain, the color and the light response of each film stock are applied as you record.

Besides video, it takes photos, records in 4K, uses your iPhone lenses with a continuous lens change, and gives you stabilization, exposure, white balance and focus controls, plus a shelf to keep your favorite settings. On the iPhones that support them, it records in Apple Log and in ProRes.

02

Permissions

hazecam asks for three permissions, and each one is used for a single thing:

You can review or change any of them at any time in iPhone Settings, in the app list, under hazecam.

03

Subscription, billing and cancellation

One camera is free from day one, with no account and no sign up. The other cameras and the other film stocks come with the subscription, which has three periods (weekly, monthly and yearly) and starts with a 3-day free trial. There is also a lifetime plan, a one-time purchase with no renewal and no trial.

Billing is handled entirely by Apple, on your Apple ID account. hazecam never receives or stores payment details.

How to cancel

Open iPhone Settings, tap your name at the top, go to Subscriptions, pick hazecam and tap Cancel Subscription. Do it at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. If you cancel during the 3-day trial, nothing is charged.

After cancelling, access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple and are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.

04

Restoring your purchase

New iPhone, app deleted and installed again, or the paid cameras showing up locked? Open hazecam, go to the app settings and tap Restore purchase. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

If nothing comes back, check in iPhone Settings, under your name, that the account is the one used for the purchase, and check under Subscriptions that the plan is active. If it still does not come back, write to us with the Apple ID used for the purchase and the approximate date.

05

Where your videos and photos go

Everything you record is saved to the iPhone camera roll, in the Photos app, as soon as the recording ends. Files are numbered in order: hazecam_01, hazecam_02 and so on. From there you can use, edit, publish or delete them as you wish.

The files stay on your iPhone only. Davila Studios has no access to them, never sends them anywhere and keeps no copy. If a video does not show up in the roll, check that the add to Photos permission is on and that the iPhone has free space.

06

Supported devices

hazecam runs on iPhones with iOS 17 or later. Some recordings depend on the model: Apple Log and ProRes exist on the iPhones that ship those formats, and the number of available lenses changes from model to model. hazecam always shows what your iPhone can actually reach, and nothing beyond that.

07

Privacy and terms

hazecam asks for no account, no sign up and carries no ads. What it accesses, what leaves your iPhone and what your rights are is in the Privacy policy. The rules for using the app, the plans and the free trial are in the Terms of use.
