The seven cameras

The four film stocks
The film gives the texture and the strength. From a heavy Super 8 to Clean, almost invisible.
Heavy. Coarse grain, glow in the lights, the shake of the film pull-down, vignette.
Medium. The news film: grain present, steadier light.
Fine. The cinema film: discreet texture, restrained glow.
Almost nothing. Only the camera's color, no texture. For those who want the tone and nothing else.
The chemistry, live
A lab used to develop in hours, in the dark. Here the same chemistry runs the instant you point the camera: the film curve, the grain, the glow in the lights. You see it before you record, and what lands in the roll is what you saw.
There is no clean version to fix later. The film is burned into the file, like the family Super 8 that came out of the camera ready for the living-room wall.
